PhD defense of student prof Stapel postponed
A thesis defense at Tilburg University has been postponed because the PhD student was supervised by professor Theo Verhallen and fraudulent former professor Diederik Stapel. The PhD defense was scheduled for October 7.
“It was decided to postpone the promotion, because it is not certain whether the dissertation is suitable for a PhD degree. In some of the empirical studies data obtained from professor Stapel have been used. We first have to await the judgement of the committee Levelt“, the university says.
