First 50 days: On break lag

First day after the autumn break and I am still under break mood. Mondays are always hard as they are, let alone ifBlog by Katerina Petropoulou they come after a week of holidays! Small suggestion: Let’s start the week from Tuesday. It will be less painful.

Anyway, I came in campus today an hour early, because although my watch was saying 09:45, I kept seeing 10:45. And yes, I had the time changed. I guess I was too eager to start my first class. But that turned out well, since I had the chance to enjoy my coffee in the sun.

An hour later, it was officially 10:45 for everybody, so I headed to my class, from which I had to go during the break, to attend the second half of another class that was overlapping. You see, it’s all about equal distribution of time. Alas, the lecture room was packed and naturally my friend and I decided instead of squeezing in, to enjoy a second coffee on the grass behind Dante Building. THE place to be on a sunny day.

In short, I took a break after the break, by attending half a lecture and skipping another half.  And now, I am sitting in the DZ 9 at Dante trying to write my next assignment. During the past 3 hours, I was able to right the header, the footer and read a bunch of irrelevant scientific articles. Psychologists would call it lack of concentration. To be honest, this is how I would call it as well. Although, in order to console myself, I will also interpret it as a denial, as a gesture of protest against the end of holidays!

And guess what? Now it’s time for a lunch break! It’s four in the afternoon, I have had two coffees already and still no lunch. In other words, I am a typical Greek. I can work on the assignment later… (Typical Greek also!)
