Katerina Blogs: Hello and see you later

Katerina blogsOctober is here! This means that I am already more than a month into my Master and my social life has yet to kick off. With all this craziness, I had no time to realise that within this month, I said ‘hello’ to a lot of new friends but also ‘goodbye’ to a lot of others. Well, not goodbye but what we like to refer to as  ‘see you later’. Always see the glass half full!

Such a strange feeling though…I know that my friends are off to a good start in their ‘adult’ lives, leaving us, the rest, in the bubble; the bubble of deadlines, group meetings and library knock-out sessions. By the way, the other day, I think I hit my low point. I lived to hear the last call in the library! Ten minutes before 23.00! Never thought that this day would come but, alas!

So, ‘see you later’. As ambiguous as ‘hello’. It is a consolation though. Because I know that we mean it and this makes the separation a bit easier. Especially if separation takes place in joyful graduation ceremonies and equally ceremonial drinks at Kandisky. So until the bubble bursts, see you later!
