Indian university bans women from library
If women are allowed in the library, the men will follow so quickly that you get a capacity problem. So what do you do? You ban all women from the building.
The Vice-Chancellor at the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) in Aligarh, India, thinks that men only come to the university library to see one thing. Not books, but women are the problem that the library building is overcrowded, because ‘four times more men’ would suddenly decide to go study there if they could look at women during their studies. As a simple solution, he banned female students from the library.
The man himself does not see this as a problem at all. Girls can still use the library in the women’s college, it is just a matter of space in the main library. However, the equipment of that library is far too poor, students say. Reactions on twitter show that there is a lot of protest against the decree:
Where have all the good men gone? AMU VC says girls in library will attract boys, 6 out of 10 Indian men admit violence against women..

But there are also tweets that show a different sound. Like this one:
AMU banned jeans,T-shirt&internet for girls, but AMU girls didn’t protest against it.AMU girls r not oppressed, they themselves hate freedom — masood khan (@masoodkhan30) 11 november 2014
