Executive Board: Evening lectures inevitable
Because of the intensifying education plans, Tilburg University will offer more lectures in the evening the coming years. There are not enough classrooms available to give all lectures during the day, said chairman of the Executive Board Hein van Oorschot during the university council meeting last Friday.
Student party Front had asked whether lectures could be scheduled during day time more often. Students are complaining about the evening classes, according to Front.
Van Oorschot replied that evening courses are inevitable. “Intensifying education means teaching in small groups. As a result there is more pressure on available lecture rooms. I assume that students rather have classes in the early evening than early in the morning.”
