Board uses reorganization fund to fix financial setback
The reorganization fund of Tilburg University has less money than expected. The financial setback of 1.7 million euros for research, government money that the university was expecting to get and is not coming, will now be taken from the reorganization fund. Instead of 7 million, the fund now has a total of 5.3 million euros.
Tilburg University expected to receive government funding for humanities and social sciences research. The faculties’ budget plans for 2012 were based on this money??.
Money for the reorganization fund is taken from the general reserves. The millions were put aside when Tilburg University was doing well financially.
