TOP is new name for TIK introduction week

The Tilburg introduction week (TIK) will be renamed as TOP. It is short for Tilburg Orientation Program. Chairman of TiU’s executive board Hein van Oorschot announced this at the Executive Committee meeting of the university council last Friday.

This year, the Tilburg introduction program for new students underwent  some major changes. For the first time the TIK organisors combined the Welcome Week for international students and the TIK-week for Dutch students. And some activities, like the introduction pub crawl, were cancelled.

The new style introduction still has to be evaluated, according to van Oorschot. The evalution will also include some problems that arose in the week after the TIK-week. Some mandatory classes were scheduled during the introduction camps of Vidar and Olof.
