TiU scores better in student questionnaire

Last year, university directors announced that they wanted to invest more in education. One of the reasons was to improve the results of an annual important survey among students, the NSE. It seems that the announcement alone has already worked its magic, because this year, TiU scored a lot better.

At TiU, 3559 students filled in the questionnaire, and their answers have been categorized in 17 main themes. These include the level of the teachers, the size of classes, accommodation, atmosphere, study pressure and study facilities.

The satisfaction about these issues fluctuates considerably between different studies. A comparison between the different undergraduate studies TiU shows that students give a 4.2 out of 5 to Economics teachers, but the teachers in Sociology get a 3.5. Students are happy with the catering on campus (4,1) and about the accessibility of the campus (4,4). The availability of work spaces is less positive (3,2).

Tilburg University, like other universities, has added up the results and compared TiU to other institutes. In a press release, it is claimed that TiU is the sixth university in the ranking now, while in 2013, it came in tenth.
