There’s a free escape room on campus today

Do you have fifteen minutes to spare in between classes today? Try escaping the campus by locking yourself in a room filled with puzzles and codes that have to be cracked.

The theme of the escape game is Edward Snowden. The room was designed by Jeffeny Hoogervorst, Tilburg University’s IT security officer, in an effort to raise cybersecurity awareness. “The game resembles Snowden’s journey as he escaped from the United States, from Hawaii to Hong Kong to Moscow,” Hoogervorst explains. He adds: “Solving the game is not easy.”

Anyone is welcome to give the 15-minute escape game a try today, in teams of two to four people. You can find the room on the second floor of the Esplanade building. What? Free on-campus escape room game, themed ‘Edward Snowden’

When? 10 October from 9.00 a.m. to 17.00 p.m.
