Following in the footsteps of other Dutch universities, Tilburg University also advises against travelling to China. In accordance with the stricter guidelines of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, TiU has decided to issue this recommendation.
Exchange students and employees are strongly discouraged from travelling to China. Whereas TiU was previously reluctant with a negative travel advice, it now explicitly advises against taking the risk. The announcement is based on a corresponding advice issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; you should only travel to China if deemed necessary.
TiU’s advice is identical to that of other Dutch universities. After the University of Amsterdam had previously published a negative advice, other Dutch universities – including Erasmus University (Rotterdam) and Leiden University – also decided to be on the safe side.
