No anonymity in student survey

Some universities and universities of applied sciences plan to link the National Student Survey results to the student records. It gives the institutions insight into students’ satisfaction and criticism.

Punt, the independent newspaper of Avans University of applied sciences, reported this on its website.

Every year thousands of students are invited to take part in the National Students Survey to give their opinion on the quality of their degree program and institution. Normally, students remain anonymous. For privacy reasons studychoice123 does not provide student data to higher education institutions. That’s why the Universiteit Utrecht and the Universiteit van Amsterdam do not take part  in the National Students Survey this year. The same survey will now be conducted by the two universities themselves, with this difference: they will be able to see the students’ responses. [MW/transl. YV]
