Queen’s Day is more fun with lots of friends
For those planning to celebrate Queen’s Day on 30 April, the best thing to do is to go with a bunch of friends. Research conducted by Sjanett de Geus shows that it is not the entertainment being offered but the group size that makes such an event a fun experience.
De Geus did her research for Tilburg University and NHTV Breda University of Applied Sciences. The study was conducted among NHTV students. It showed that people who celebrate Queen’s Day in a large group – between 7 to 15 people – are more positive about the festivities. On the average, they spend more money than people in a smaller group.
The average student spent 38 euros per person, but in larger groups this amounted to 52 euros.
