Students often fail to check out
The number of Dutch railway travelers who use credit on a public transport chip card and forget to check out is much higher among students than non-students.
“More than two percent compared to five percent”, says Dirk Vliet of Dutch Railways Travelers (NS Reizigers) in Dutch daily Spits.
According to NS Reizigers relatively few students take advantage of the opportunity to ask their money back.
