Danish uni gives full internet access during exams
A Danish university has adopted a special tool to fight fraud and cheating: the students receive unlimited access to the Internet – even during exams.
It seems easy to pass your exam this way, but according to Lise Petersen, e-learning project coordinator at the University of Southern Denmark, it is not so simple. “For most students it was very difficult to use the Internet as an academic tool. There is a sheer volume of information available on the Internet. The skill is discerning between relevant and irrelevant information and then putting it in context”, she says on website InsideHighered.com
