Eijlander: “Video lectures will stay’

There will be no cutbacks on video lectures for students. The video lectures costs, however, will have to be paid for by the faculties from now on. Rector Philip Eijlander said this during the Education and Research Committee meeting.

During last week’s university council meeting, some members wondered whether, as a result of the cutbacks on support services for lectures, the video lectures would disappear entirely. Eijlander: “The central budget will no longer cover for the video lectures. And faculties that make use of video lectures a lot will pay more than faculties that don’t. But the video lectures will not disappear.”
