Low tuition rate for second master after all

Students who pursue a second master’s degree at Tilburg University next year, will have to pay the low legal tuition fee of 1713 euros after all. Last Friday, the university council has agreed on the adjustment of the regulation Enrollment and Tuition fees 2011-2012.

In an earlier proposal by the Executive Board of Tilburg University, the tuition fees for a second master’s degree were set on the institutional fees – ranging from € 6.546, – to € 10.644, -.

The regulation adjustment also includes the promise that students, who start with a second master’s degree next academic year, can finish this degree program within a certain time (they get an extra year) at the lower legal fee. Chairman of the Board Hein van Oorschot did however make it clear that it is a transition policy. Eventually students will have to pay the higher institutional fees.
