Asbestos removal from Cobbenhagen building
Asbestos will be removed from several locations in the Cobbenhagen building during its renovation. This was not possible earlier, because the asbestos was located in areas that were difficult to get to, says Tilburg University spokesman Walter Verhoeven.
Verhoeven: “It is true that there is still asbestos in the building. During a previous asbestos removal project it was not removed, because much demolition work was needed to get to the asbestos areas and to remove it. Due to the fact that the asbestos is so tucked away, there is no health risk. The removal will be done under current rules. “
