Students cheat like crazy
Students use technical gadgets on a large-scale to commit fraud during their studies, a survey shows. On average 15 percent of the HBO graduates and 10 percent of university graduates say to have cheated during their study.
Seven thousand graduates participated in the survey Study and Work 2011 conducted by Elsevier magazine research and SEO Economic Research, about one and a half years after their graduation.
Some study programs have more frauds than others. The Applied Life Sciences program is ranking at number one for having had most cheaters. At 4th place: Economics.
Cheating during exams is at first place of ways to deceive the teacher. 55 percent of the graduates did so. Over one third of the frauds asked others to write their papers, or saw exam questions and answers in advance.
The old-fashioned cheating method, notes on a little piece of paper, is history: nowadays there are many technical gadgets that students use to cheat. The wireless bluetooth headsets that is connected to a smart phone is popular. It enables students to listen to their own audio notes during exams, information they have recorded in advance.
