Students: Tilburg student houses not fire safe
41 percent of the Tilburg students do not feel comfortable with the fire- and theft safety of their student rooms, a survey conducted by the municipality of Tilburg among 1,000 students shows. A group of students is not satisfied with the landlord.
The landlord does not respond well enough to maintenance problems, the students think. Despite the shortcomings, 82 percent are satisfied with their living accommodation.
Students pay on average between 200 and 350 euros for a room. The size of these rooms varies between 13 and 25 square meters. Although they are quite satisfied with their living situation in Tilburg, most students say they will look for a job elsewhere after graduation.
