Student raises 35000 pounds for London barber

Dutch student Bjorn Conradi (23) from Den Bosch raised 35.000 pounds for London barber Aaron Biber (89) whose shop was destroyed by rioters on August 10th.

Conradi, intern at a London advertising agency, was touched by Aaron’s story and together with two other interns he launched a blog called Keep Aaron Cutting with an appeal to help Biber get his barbershop up and running again. “We wanted to use this opportunity to show that youth and technology can be a force for good”, the interns say on their blog.

The amount of money raised is much more than Biber needs to restore his shop, Conradi said to Dutch daily Brabants Dagblad. He hopes that the extra money can be used for other businesses in the area affected by the violence.
