Tilburg bars organize intro pub scrawl

Tilburg bars will hold a pub crawl for TIK week participants on Thursday. It will lead new students around 21 pubs in the city centre. With its own pub crawl the bars protest the fact that the pub crawl has disappeared from the official introduction program.

The pubs announced the separate pub crawl plan in July. The date, however, was kept secret until the first day of the TIK-week out of fear that the university would thwart the plan. The pub crawl starts around 22:00 and will introduce students to pubs at de Korte Heuvel, de Heuvel, het Piusplein, de Paleisring and de Stadhuisstraat.

During the TIK-market a brochure with a bar crawl card was handed out to students. With the pass they can get one free drink at every bar.
