Tilburg stores open on Sundays
As of 2012 shops in Tilburg are allowed to stay open for business on Sundays, the city council of Tilburg decided. Labour party PvdA gve its support to this but on one condition – if the extra opening hours lead to extra costs, retailers also have to pay a share of it.
Opening stores for business on Sundays has
been an issue for a long time. Tilburg supermarkets are, unlike other towns nearby, not allowed to trade in evening hours or open their doors on Sunday afternoon.
