Wijo Kop in management team Social Sciences
Tilburg University has appointed professor Wijo Kop as temporary member of the social sciences management team. Kop will have this position until a new dean is appointed.
A faculty management team normally consists of a dean, a vice-dean for education, a vice dean for research and a managing director. Since former dean Diederik Stapel was fired, vice dean for research Klaas Sijtsma has taken up the role as interim dean. It created a vacant position in the management team, which is now given to Kop.
Kop is specialized in heart disease. He is also chief editor – the first non-American – of Psychosomatic Medicine, the peer-reviewed journal of the American Psychosomatic Society.
