Pien Versteegh no longer director TiSEM

Interim manager Hilde Baert has temporarily taken over the director’s position at the Economics faculty (TiSEM). Former director Pien Versteegh will focus on a sustainable and green campus. On October 18 this news was made public at the faculty but not university-wide. It is still unclear what happened exactly.

Pien Versteegh was appointed director of the Economics faculty in January 2008. She succeeded Nicole Fouchier. “After years of service as Director of Operations at Tilburg School of Economics and Management, A.P. (Pien) Versteegh will …”, the official message from the Dean reads. Two and a half year, however, is relatively short for a director to be in office. Both Baert and the TiSEM spokesperson do not give information about the reason of Versteegh’s departure.

hilde baertHilde Baert is ready to take on the job: “There is plenty to do.” Will ‘green woman’ Hilde Baert make TiSEM greener? “I will at least make sure that Versteegh’s green projects will be continued.” She has handed over her position at CentER to the vice dean.
