Rotterdam to host European students’ games 2014
Europe’s largest sporting event for students will take place in Rotterdam in 2014. The European Universities Games were attributed to the Erasmus University. It means that Rotterdam will host 4,000 students and 1,000 officials from all over Europe from 4- 13 July 13 2014.
During the European Universities Games championships will be held in ten sports: basketball, soccer, futsal (indoor soccer), handball, volleyball, badminton, tennis, table tennis, golf and rowing.
At a meeting of the European University Sports Association (EUSA) in Cordoba Spain, where the first European Universities Games will be held next year, bidding city Rotterdam won from the other candidate Wroclaw (Poland) this weekend.
