International students: Tilburg uni experience is worth it
International students are quite happy at Tilburg University. On average master’s students are more positive than bachelor students, but 80 percent feels that the Tilburg experience has lived up to their expectation, according to the recent i-graduate survey presentation.
The latest results from the International Student Barometer (ISB) i-graduate’s survey, in which 412 (29 percent) out of the 1441 international students at Tilburg University participated, show that an increasing number of students are satisfied with the Tilburg education system. 85 percent of students reported that their course of study has been worth the investment of money, 87 percent that it has been worth the investment of time and 80 percent agreed that the whole experience was all they hoped for.
Nevertheless the students indicate that more individual time with academic staff would improve the study experience. 46 of bachelor students and 48 of the international master’s students say to value this.
The international students are increasingly satisfied with language support (up from 80 per cent to 90 per cent), careers advice (up from 47 per cent to 57 per cent satisfaction) and learning support (up from 74 per cent to 84 per cent).
As for the accommodation quality and costs of student accommodation, these have improved by 14 per cent since last survey, but students are still very not very satisfied about the housing costs (36 per cent).
