Higher educated people live longer and healthier
Life expectancy increases a lot with higher education. For Dutch men the difference in life expectancy is seven years on average, for Dutch women it is five years, predictions of the Central Bureau of Statistics show. The figures are based on death statistics in the past.
The gap between Dutch with a higher level of education and a low level of education is highest in the estimation of the number of years of healthy life. The inequalities for men who have stopped education after primary school and those who had a higher education is nearly 20 years.
