Mandatory check-in by NS
From January 2012 students have to check in and check out every time they travel by train, bus, metro and tram.
Even when travelling during the free-of- charge days (weekdays or weekends, depending on the type of travelcard) students have to check in, in order for NS to monitor the travel frequency. The NS employees will conduct stricter controls.
