Your Weed Pass, please!
From May 1 you will not be allowed to just walk into a coffee shop . To be let into the shop you will need a special pass with contact information proving that you are a “member” of a shop .
Each shop can have no more than 2000 members and will not be accessible for drug tourists. “There are ways for improving the controls in coffeshops”, said Willem Vugs from the Brabants Dagblad. “An ID scanner has already proven useful.”
Mayor Noordanus is open to suggestions. If there are alternatives to the “weed pass” he will consider withdrawing the policy, as long as the proposal is transparent and accountable.
