Cinecitta closed for four months
Cinema Cinecitta will close for four months during the renovation- en expansion works. Temporarily relocating the cinema is not a realistic option.
“There are too many practical objections to a temporary location. Rebuilding the cinema from the bottom up each night seems rather impractical. Moreover, the renovations will take place in the same period as some main sport events. For how many people would we be going through this trouble?” says Frans de Bruijn, who will take over Cinecitta on the 1st of May, in Brabants Dagblad.
Cinnecitta, which is very popular amongst students and UvT-employees, will close its doors in May and re-open in September.
