Warm Sweater Day on Friday!

This Friday the heating on campus will be set one degree lower. This is due to the Warm Sweater Day, a national energy saving initiative.

If the whole country lowers the heating by only one degree, 7% of the energy will be saved. This can also have financial advantages- if the heating on the campus remains slightly reduced, the university would save € 43.800 per year.

The Warm Sweater Day is an initiative of the Vereniging Klimaatverbond Nederland  (Dutch Climate Association) and is held annually around February 16. On this day in 2005 the Kyoto Protocol entered into force.
