25th anniversary of Erasmus program

This year, the 25th anniversary of the Erasmus program (ESN, recently known as I*ESN) will be celebrated all over Europe. This year the ESN agency in Turkey contributes the most to the celebrations, by organizing events both in Turkey and abroad.

Erasmus Student Network (ESN) is one of the biggest interdisciplinary student organizations in Europe. The students volunteer to work in 36 countries for to “represent international students, thus provide opportunities for cultural understanding and self-development under the principle of Students Helping Students,” says I*ESN website. In Tilburg. I*ESN is known for taking care of international degree seeking and exchange students by introducing them to the Dutch culture. They do so by organizing activities ranging from parties to voluntary social projects.  

Students who don’t go on exchange abroad, but still miss the international experience can also join I*ESN. The organization provides an intercultural experience for domestic students, so called “internationalization at home”.

For the celebration of the a25th anniversary, students can apply to photo and video contests, participate in projects and have fun during events organized by the European Commission and National Agencies.
