Univers blogger blogs about Tilburg on a budget
Are you short on cash, but still want to enjoy your student life? Two Tilburg University students provide ready solutions and tips on how to live in Tilburg on a budget.
A Univers blogger Katerina Petropoulou from Greece and he classmate Lisa Niederdorfer from Austria set up a “Tilburg on a budget” blog as a part of their course Business Information Technology. But it turned out to be more than just an assignment. Now the blog has 69 likes on Facebook, and a support of a Tilburg student portal StuGood.org.
Katerina tells about how it all started: “I started from our needs as international students. We knew that when you are a newcomer, especially when you have moved to another country, it’s hard to get to know the city you live and know what it has to offer. We wish we would have had this sort of guide when we first moved here.”
Katerina and Lisa still consider themselves as newcomers. “When we started blogging we had been here for only five months, so technicaly we were also ‘new’. So it was great motivation for us to start searching for new places. Most of the times we were writers and readers at the same time. We would search for topics for our new post and find, for example, a free concert that we otherwise wouldn’t know about,” says Katerina.
