Tilburg University scores well among foreign TiU students

International students are satisfied about Tilburg University.  According to International Student Barometer iGraduate, foreign students are very enthusiastic about the quality of the lectures and the university facilities. The iGraduate survey results were presented on February 13.

The international students are very positive about the sports and religious facilities on campus: with these two facilities Tilburg University ranks second place nationwide. Dutch universities are lagging behind international educational institutions in the field of ??accommodation. The housing of the international students in Tilburg has approved considerably compared to 2010 though: the university climbed four places in the national rankings – taking fourth place.

The night after arrival in Tilburg tops the Dutch rankings. The support after arrival scored highest among foreign students. In addition they praised the support of the university (in cooperation with Rabobank) with opening a bank account – which also resulted in a first place in the national rankings.

International students are less satisfied with career advice and the possibility of earning money in the Netherlands. Nevertheless, the international students are equally positive about Dutch and international educational institutions (88 percent satisfaction). Foreign students are not excited about the opportunity to make money. The Netherlands scores 20 percent below the international average.

The international student barometer aims to provide educational institutions a better picture of the internationalization of higher education. 208 higher education institutions participated in the survey.
