The Netherlands 9th in higher education
The Netherlands is a country on the ninth place in a ranking of international higher education. Universitas 21, an international network of universities, has conducted a research based on twenty different criteria and on recent data from 48 countries.
The criteria are divided into four categories: environment, resources, output and connectivity. Netherlands is accordingly the first, the ninth, the tenth and the twentieth. The ranking is intended as a reference point for governments, educational institutions and individuals.
The top 5 places of Universitas 21 are occupied by the United States, Sweden, Canada, Finland and Denmark. The study was conducted by scientists at the Melbourne Institute of Applied Economic and Social Research at the University of Melbourne.
