Basic grant for Master students temporarily kept
Students who follow a master program still remain entitled to a basic study grant. However, it won’t be all so easy. From September students who take longer than expected to finish their progam, won’t be able to travel for free.
This is in the final version of the agreement made by VVD, CDA, D66, GroenLinks en ChristenUnie. The parties agreed that only after the next election they are going to make a decision about the future of the grant.
Also, after the elections the parties will decide on the prolonging of the repayment period of student loans from 15 to 20 years.
