Tilburg University College is an option

Tilburg University is considering the introduction of a University College. The project would be paid by external sponsors.

Randall Lesaffer, the Dean of the School of Law, confirmed rumors in this regard at the Law School. President of the Executive Board Hein van Oorschot asked the deans of the schools whether they consider the concept realistic.

The Tilburg project follows a national trend. In Utrecht, Leiden, Amsterdam and Maastricht University Colleges already exist, and in September 2013 in Rotterdam the Erasmus University College will be opened. It is usually a building in the town, in which the campus facilities can be used. The UC’s are intended for excellent students and there is generally a strict selection procedure. The language of instruction is English. The pass rate is usually very high, around ninety percent.
