Stricter code against cheating and plagiarism

The integrity code for scientists has been more strictly defined. Also, a new prevention policy has been introduced. The VSNU took these measures because of the Stapel affair.

The TiU regulations will be adjusted to a model which will apply to all universities. This will bring more clarity to how universities act in cases of integrity violations. The most important elements are the disclosure of all cases where violations are found, the separation of confidential and integrity committees and clear procedures.

Upon their appointment at the university, the researchers must show that they know the science code. There will be also more attention devoted to the correct way of doing research in doctoral programs, but also in bachelor and master programs.
