No Long Study Fine!
Students who have to pay extra 3000 euros this academic year, just got lucky. Two days ago long study fine was abolished.
Politicians Rutte and Samson from VVD and PvdA were both for the abolition of the controversial long study fine. Instead, they prefer the loan system where students borrow money instead of receive them as a gift. Also, the already paid fines will be refunded as soon as possible, probably by the beginning of year 2013.
