Tilburg not on ranking list top universities
Tilburg University is not in the top 200 Time Higher Education World University Rankings, the ranking list of top universities. Though, Tilburg University has achieved the highest position (224) thus far.
All the other twelve universities in the Netherlands do appear in the rankings. This places our country on the third place, behind the United States and the United Kingdom. The best Dutch university is the university of Leiden, which stands at number 64. They are followed by the University of Utrecht at number 67 and the University of Wageningen at number 70.
The other Dutch universities achieved the following places: Rotterdam (71) Delft (78) Amsterdam (83), Groningen (89), Eindhoven (114) Maastricht (115), Nijmegen (127), VU University Amsterdam (140) and Twente (187). Tilburg University is thus not in the top 200.
All Dutch universities, including Tilburg, have risen in recent years. Rector Philip Eijlander is pleased with this increase. “Last year we kept stuck at number 256 but now we have achieved the highest position thus far. In the years before we also gained a substantial profit.” Currently, Tilburg holds place 224 in the World University Rankings.
The California Institute of Technology may call itself the best university worldwide. They are followed by Standford University at number two, and University of Oxford in third place. The research of Time Higher Education was conducted among almost 17,000 academics. The universities are tested on a total of thirteen different elements.
