No student OV, emptier trains
With the abolition of the OV student chip card the number of passengers using public transport will suffer. The decrease of six percent is predicted by the Planbureau voor de Leefomgeving.
Other measures that the government plans to take will partially compensate this decline. Eventually, it is predicted that 3-4 percent fewer people will travel by train.
