Election time

It’s election time at Tilburg University. That’s why the campus is decorated and music is playing. And people in green and blue shirts are bothering you for your vote.

The elections are for the student representation of the Faculty and University councils. There are two parties rivaling each other for the majority in the university council: Front (green) and SAM (blue). The University Council consults with the university’s Executive Board. They have the right of consent on matters like changes in the student statute and the universities strategic policy, and the right of advice on – for instance – expenses.

You can also vote for the council of your school. Each School of the university has its own faculty council. The students in the council look after the views and needs of students and staff in the fields of education, research, policy and decision-making.

You can vote on this website.  You can read SAM’s electoral program here. Front’s program can be read here.
