Warandelaan closed for two weeks

The asphalt of the Warandelaan is being replaced. As of the 26th of May drivers can not reach the big parking lot of TiU through the Warandelaan. They have to drive via the parking lot of TiasNimbas/Prisma. The municipality of Tilburg and TiU will make sure there are signs to show the way.

The top layer of asphalt has worn out and will be replaced. Construction workers will also place a footpath to the Faculty Club and cycle paths on both sides of the way.  Paul Hoeijmans, head of Real Estate management of TiU: “There are not many cyclists who come to TiU through this way, but we hope to reduce the speed of drivers and thus improve the security. Drivers are not allowed to go faster than 50 kilometers an hour at the Warandelaan, but many of them drive too fast there.”

The activities will last two weeks and will be paid by the municipality of Tilburg.
