Are psychology exams too easy at TiU?

Students love to be lazy and will do anything to avoid hard work when it comes to getting their student credit. At least, that’s what people usually say. TiU Psychology students seem to prove all these people wrong now that complaints are coming in that exams are way too easy for some classes. Questions sometimes literally get recycled from previous exams. And that has students worrying about the quality and standards of their school.

Fractie Stimulus has already mentioned the complaints in the Faculty Board meeting and will be paying more attention to the problem from now on. They’ll probably come up with a plan of action in their next meeting.

“We’ll most likely put two people on the case that will get more information on the severity of the issue. There are different possibilities, we might put out a request on Facebook for more complaints or put together a questionnaire to gather more info. All the information we have now is second-hand, students are complaining on (closed) facebook-groups instead of directly to us.” says Ilse van Tiel, vice-chairman of Stimulus.

Van Tiel also emphasizes how it’s a bad sign if students actually start complaining about the quality of exams. “Students won’t often complain about ‘easy’ exams, as they don’t mind getting easy credit. However, these exams appear to be TOO easy, in a way that they have students worrying about the quality of the education they’re getting. And that is not what the university should aim for.”
