Don’t expect hospitality in Tilburg

Tilburg is one of the least hospitable cities in the Netherlands according to a research report by an organisation called ‘Meest Gastvrije Stad’ (Most hospitable city). Tilburg only managed to get to place 16 in the top 21 of the largest Dutch cities. The lowest scores were given when it came to ‘City and Architecture’.

Tilburg has never managed to get a high score since the start of the research project in 2010. However, scores on ‘Horeca and Leisure’ have always been constant, and one of the things Tilburg has always scored well on. Scores get boosted by the awesome amount of bars and cafe terraces. It’s mainly ‘City and Architecture’ that drags down the scores each year, scoring lowest on this category in all years but 2011.

Den Bosch managed to score first place for the fourth time in a row. They can name themselves the most hospitable city for another year. Dordrecht, the number 14 of last year, has taken up the last place for this year.
