Terror attack University Pakistan
At least 20 people are killed by a terror attack at Bacha Khan University in Charsadda, Northwestern Pakistan. Wednesday morning at about 9.30 a.m. local time gunmen opened fire on students and university staff.Wednesday morning, during a commemoration ceremony for activist Bacha Khan (1890-1988) – to whom the university is named after – unknown men entered the campus and started shooting at students and staff. The military later surrounded the campus and killed the shooters. French press agency AFP reports that the mission has ended and security forces are combing the buildings.
Some media report there were three attackers, others say there were ten. It is also unclear if the Taliban committed the attack and how many people were killed. The death toll is estimated between 20 and 30. Almost 3.000 students are registered at Bacha Khan University.
Peshawar
In December 2014 more than 130 students were killed when Taliban terrorists attacked a school in the city Peshawar, 30 km from Charsadda.
