On our balcony in Syria, we had a nest of swallow birds for 30 years. The nest was destroyed, and so was our balcony. But now in Tilburg, I have a new house for the birds on my balcony. I am happy that they visit me here and eat.Ammar Alkhatib is a photographer from Damascus, Syria. He lost his Nikon to the waves of the sea he crossed to reach safer ground. With the new camera he got from his Dutch friend Jesse, Ammar now captures his new life in Tilburg.
