University church eligible to win €10.000 for new meeting space

Tilburg University’s chaplaincy has been nominated for the KRO Warm Hart prize for its contributions to society. If the chaplaincy gathers enough votes to win, the €10.000 prize will be used to renovate the student meeting space in the Maranatha church along the Professor Cobbenhagenlaan.

The university church has already received over 1500 votes, which makes it one of the top contenders. Visitors of the KRO website can vote for one of the 69 charities to win the €10.000 prize until the end of September.

Anja Visker, who put the Maranatha church forward for nomination, hopes all Tilburg University students and staff will use their voting power to support the renovation plans. “It’s important for Dutch and international students to have a contemporary, comfy space where they can meet each other. The renovated meeting space in the Maranatha church will also need to be decorated. The prize money would be a welcome contribution to pay for those expenses.”
