TiU social sciences rise hard on global ranking

Tilburg University has risen significantly in one year on the QS World University Rankings by Subject. In the Social Sciences & Management category, the university rose twenty spots to 72nd place worldwide.

In the Social Sciences & Management category, the university does well with the underlying disciplines of Economics & Econometrics (spot 28) and Accounting & Finance (spot 36).

Tilburg University has also risen in the Arts & Humanities category. In 2020, for example, the institution fell outside the top 400. Now the university is in position 378.

The QS World University Rankings is a global ranking and is considered one of the most influential and prominent rankings in higher education.

To arrive at the above results, the judges tested 51 disciplines on scientific reputation, employee reputation, the number of works cited, and the so-called H-index. That index measures the productivity and impact of scientists’ publications.
