NS info campaign for students about compulsory check-in
Checking-in and checking-out for every train journey becomes compulsory as from January. Dutch railways NS has launched a campaign to inform students about the new rule.
The compulsory check-in (and check-out) will also be needed in free-travel period. It will give Dutch Railways a better understanding of how many people travel by train travel during a certain time. The conductors will check whether students follow these new rules. students that forget to check-in or check-out for a train journey during the introduction of the new rule will not be fined yet.
